ECCO Landfill Fire Update- Sept 20

Operations continue at the ECCO Recycling facility landfill fire in southeast Calgary as crews work to contain and suppress isolated hotspots within the landfill.Fire suppression resources remain on site and continue to monitor areas of elevated heat within the landfill pile. Crews are conducting ongoing assessments in the area of an underground utility access point where elevated temperatures have previously been observed.
