The driver of a vehicle that struck a Calgary Transit bus last week has died. On Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, shortly after 9 a.m., a 79-year-old man was driving a 2016 GMC Canyon west along the 7200 block of Bowness Road N.W., when his vehicle crossed the centre line, colliding head-on with a City of Calgary transit bus. The driver and occupants of the transit bus were not hurt, however the driver of the GMC Canyon was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition. Sadly, on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026,
