Police are investigating after a 79-year-old man succumbed to injuries following a collision earlier last month. On Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, at approximately 1:50 p.m., the man was driving a 2015 BMW south on Crowchild Trail, N.W., when he suddenly slowed near 32 Avenue N.W. As a result, a 2024 Toyota Tacoma, also travelling south in the same lane, driven by a 57-year-old man, rear-ended the BMW. The BMW’s driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
