ECCO landfill fire update-Sept 18

The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) continues suppression operations at the ECCO Recycling facility landfill fire in southeast Calgary. The fire remains under control, with activity confined to the landfill site as crews continue working toward full extinguishment. During the last operational period, crews identified several underground utility access points buried beneath landfill material.
