The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has been called in to investigate an officer-involved shooting that resulted in the death of a woman. On Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, at approximately 1:20 a.m., police were called to a home in the 200 block of Legacy Circle S.E., to check on the welfare of a woman inside.At approximately 2:30 a.m., the woman exited the home with a weapon.
