Fire Prevention Week runs from October 4-10, and this year the Calgary Fire Department (CFD) is urging all Calgarians to learn how to use and dispose of lithium-ion batteries safely. Firefighters are seeing an increase in battery fires in homes, garages and businesses across the city.
