ECCO Landfill Fire Update- Sept 24

The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) continues suppression efforts at the ECCO Recycling facility landfill fire in southeast Calgary. The fire remains contained to the landfill site as crews continue working toward full extinguishment.Today, crews continued capping operations by removing debris, flattening affected areas and spreading additional dirt and clay across the site.
